11am:Ā This Sunday walk will start at grid reference 650 886. Arrangements have been made with the Nawton estate for verge parking just south of the junction of Skiplam road and the road past Nawton Tower. Once we know who is walking we will arrange car sharing to minimise the number of cars involved.
Distance 4.27 miles. Total ascent (and descent) 484 feet mainly very gradual.
The route goes north along the east side of Beadlam Rigg with extensive views (hopefully)to the north and east.
Near the trig point we will haveĀ a brief coffee stop (bring your own!)Ā before a straightforward return down the Beadlam Rigg track and road. Finally we turn east along a footpath and road back to the start point.
Lunch 2.15pm: Will be at The Feather and Beak, Brickfields, Kirby Mills, Kirkbymoorside.
