The Village Hall stands in the centre of the main street and is the community hub at the heart of village life.  It is available for private hire and also hosts a varied programme of events which we warmly welcome you to attend.  We have a licensed bar which is run in conjunction with many of our events.

Recent renovations have seen the addition of a large storeroom which accommodates all of the tables and chairs leaving the main hall clutter free for events such as yoga, short carpet bowls, dancing groups, Pilates, music and drama performances.  A new layout has enabled the installation of a large fully accessible toilet and baby changing facilities along with two additional toilets.  The newly extended and fully refurbished modern kitchen is available for teas and coffee but also has the facilities for larger events, including two dishwashers, two ovens, a ceramic hob, under counter fridge and a larger larder fridge, two sinks and a boiler for instant hot water.

The Village Hall provides a venue for other events including meetings, craft workshops, art and craft fairs and private parties.  Regular monthly activities include the Oz Café, Oz Bodz Youth Club, line dancing and the pop-up pub, the village book exchange is accessible within the Village Hall too.  It is also available for use by surrounding communities.

Current bookings, and availability, can be seen on the Events page of the village website. A plan of the village hall with measurements is also available to view.

The Village Hall is light, airy and well heated, enjoying delightful views from the newly installed windows to the south across fields and streams rising to the wooded Howardian Hills in the distance. It can comfortably accommodate up to 60 seated guests at either tables or in a theatre style layout. Standing capacity is 80 people. The Village Hall has a Premises Licence, which with the permission of the Trustees covers the sale of alcohol. Equipment available for musical events includes a piano and digital screen and sound AV system. A temporary stage can also be erected. In front of the Hall is a good car park, with further free parking close by along the village street. A small patio area is available to the south of the building.
