We start from the Kirkbymoorside Golf Club car park at 1100. Parking is available here. We are also eating at the Golf Club. This is an excellent carvery with locally sourced and home-roast meats complimented by seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes and expertly created Yorkshire puddings

This is flat walk, on good tracks that shouldn’t be too muddy – specially designed and crafted for late November weather. It is around 7km long. There is just one short climb at the start.

There is a 3km, short walk option which starts the same as the longer walk, but returns along the path marked in red on the map.

Please let us know if you are coming on the walk, and/or if you are joining us for the meal. Sadly there are no rivers to ford, or stiles to clamber over.

December 2023 – Kirbymoorside

Date: Sunday 17th December 2023
Start: 12.30pm
Distance: 3 miles
Meet: Kirkbymoorside
Lunch Venue: Feather & Beak in Kirkby Mills

This month’s walk is being organised by Andy and myself. We will meet at the top of the main street, near the mini roundabout, in Kirkbymoorside at 12.30 pm.

The route is just over 3 miles on quiet lanes and is suitable for everyone and dogs. As is usual with the Christmas walk we will be stopping along the way for mince pies and mulled wine. Please advise ASAP if you will be walking so as to be sure we order sufficient refreshments.

17 of us will be eating at the Feather & Beak in Kirkby Mills at 3 pm. The menu choices are enclosed below and your choices are required by Sunday 10th December latest please.
