Date: Sunday 23rd June, 2024 Time: 11.00am Start: The Fauconberg Arms, Coxwold Coffee Stop: 12.15pm Honesty Cafe near Husthwaite Lunch: 3.00pm The Fauconberg Arms Length: 6 Miles
The June walk is a circular walk going from Coxwold down the old railway line to Husthwaite then winding back past the Alpaca Farm and Newburgh Priory and finishing at the start point. The railway line is quite overgrown but there seem to be walkers using it all the time so you can get through, but the rest of the walk is in the open.
Dogs are welcome on the walk but may need to be on the lead at some points, I did not see any sheep or cattle last time.
The coffee stop is at an Honesty Cafe which has coffee, soft drinks, ice cream, biscuits etc so please bring some change, from memory coffee is £1.
Anyone who would like to do a shorter walk please park at the Fauconberg and walk to the Newburgh Lake and back, this will not be a guided walk.
Look forward to seeing you next Sunday and hope we get some good weather.
